1989 - April of this year saw the foundations being laid for a successful Just Rams. We created our niche by providing PC memory at the right price. In fact, it was Just Rams Plc that brought the inflated UK memory prices, of the time, back to a reasonable level and inline with those of the United States and Asia. At this point the turnover was a modest GBP 1 million Pounds.
1990 - The worlds leading memory manufacturers visualised our potential for the future and gave us exclusive distribution privileges. The business is performing so well it successfully expands into the proprietary sector. Just Rams turnover doubles to GBP 2 million pounds.
1992 - Business was growing so rapidly new premises had to be found. We are still here today. Sumi Tomo glue factory burns down which creates worldwide memory shortage. Just Rams capabilities means we could continually supply our customers while others found it very difficult. This created our first major leap in turnover, now at GBP 8 Million Pounds.
1994 - Goldstar/LG votes Just Rams Plc distributor of the year.
1995 - Our manufacturing business venture with our partners in the USA and Asia. Our workforce triples. And our turnover grows yet again to a staggering GBP 32.5 million pounds.
1996 - Presented with a 'Special Recognition Award' for sales growth by Samsung Semiconductor.
1997 - As one of the only distributors in the world covering all high end solutions for UNIX, SUN, HP, DEC.
1998 - Just Rams Plc launches products for the digital market (Camera, MP3). Products include: SmartMedia, CompactFlash, ATA adapters.
1999 - Formal launch of the Just Rams Manufactured brand Integral. Winners of the Samsung European Branding Award. Samsung selects the Just Rams Retail Packaging design to be the standard throughout Europe. We have grown into the biggest European Memory Distributor for Samsung. Record sales figures. Earthquake in Taiwan creates a world memory shortage similar to that of the Sumi Tomo disaster in 1992. Yet again Just Rams Plc is able to maintain a consistent supply of quality memory products for all of our customers. We have now become the UKs No1 specialist memory distributors while also further expanding our Manufacturing business.
2000 - Winner of the 'Samsung SmartMedia Distributor of the Year award'. Showcased our digital products at 'Photokina 2000' with a strong worldwide response. Expanded sales and sales support functions.
2001 - Winner of the Samsung ' Performance in Flash Sales Award' . Created Export division that now exports to nearly 30 countries. Some very significant account wins. Expanded Digital range to include SD Card and MultiMediaCards
2002 - Launch of high-speed CompactFlash, the Integral i-Pro range. Completed a successful 'Photokina 2002' show. Launch of new web-site.
2003 - Integral USB Flash Drives, High Speed USB2 6in1 Reader and USB Key Drives are added to the growing range of digital memory products offered by Just Rams under the Integral brand. Just Rams win Samsung Flash Distributor of the year for 3rd year running.
2004 - The Secure Digital (SD Card) format becomes the number one choice in digital cameras. Photokina 2004 is regarded as the 'best yet' for increasing the profile of the Integral memory brand. Several significant retail accounts are won. Just Rams first international office opens in Paris, France. Just Rams take to market the world's first memory card music album - Robbie Williams Greatest Hits, in partnership with EMI. Turnover increases to GBP 72 million.
2005 - The emergence of mobile phone memory card formats - MMCmobile and MiniSD. Memory card duplication business increases dramatically and Just Rams invest in the latest card duplication equipment to keep up with demand. A second international office is established in Madrid, Spain. Turnover hits GBP 83 million.
2006 - The third international sales office opens in The Netherlands. Just Rams exhibit at 3GSM World Congress for the first time and announce the launch of the latest mobile memory card formats available from Integral - MicroSD and MMCmicro.
Just Rams win the Innovation Award (2006) by Samsung Semiconductor for our recent projects on:-
- Movies on mobile phone memory cards
- Digital rights management (DRM) copy protection
- Navigation programming (car navigation systems using memory cards)
- Own branding services
The year ends with the launch of the Secure Digital high capacity memory card formats; 'SDHC' and 'miniSDHC' Turn.Turnover hits a record GBP 100 million. Turnover hits a record GBP 100 million.
2007 - All Integral USB Flash Drives are certified fully compatible with Windows Vista. The highest capacity USB Flash Drive is now 32GB - The Integral Silver USB Flash Drive. A new USB Flash Drive is added to the Integral range - Ag47 - finished in a durable metal body and supplied with a real leather case.
2008 - Just Rams exhibit the Integral Memory range at Cebit, Hannover, Germany for the first time. New smaller, greener packaging is rolled out for the Integral memory card range. DDR3 DRAM upgrades go on sale. A new range of high speed memory cards for professional DSLR camera users and enthusiasts is launched - Integral UltimaPro.
2009 - A busy second Cebit trade show. The Integral Crypto Drive formally launched at InfoSecurity Europe trade show, London. FIPS 197 approval is granted for full range of Integral hardware encryption USB Flash Drives. Integral exhibit new Solid State Storage products at Storage Expo, London. Integral Titan becomes our largest capacity USB Flash Drive at 128GB. A fourth international sales office opens in Dubai.
2010 - Launch of new www.integral-storage.com website. Just Rams exhibit Integral products successfully at third Cebit. Integral will exhibit at InfoSecurity Europe in London, InfoSec World in Orlando and Foto Forum Russia during April 2010.
